Chris was a devoted wife, loving great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother whose life reflected quiet strength, humility, and steadfast devotion to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ida Wallen; her beloved husband of 64 years, Wilburn “Mac” McBryar; and her son-in-law, William “Bill” Boyd.
She is survived by her daughters, Regina M. Wright (James “Jimmy” H. Wright Jr.) and Susan M. Boyd (late Bill Boyd).
Christine also leaves behind her grandchildren: Her first grandchild and long-awaited grandson, James H. Wright III “Jimbo”(Mary Kathryn), and Wilburn and Chris’s favorite granddaughter— and
the ONLY— Ashleigh Wright Cain (Jacob Cain).
Her greatest earthly joys were her great-grandsons: Wyatt Grant Cain (17), Brooks Hillman Cain (13), James Hillman Wright IV (12), and Charles Brantley Wright (10), each a blessing she held close to her heart.
Christine will be remembered for her enduring love, gentle faith, and the steady presence she held at the heart of her family. A woman of Christian values, she lived her faith through service, hospitality, and care for others. Her love will continue to live on through
flour-dusted countertops, well-worn recipes, and the Southern Sunday dinners and homemade desserts that gathered family around the table. In those moments of shared prayer, shared meals, and shared stories, her legacy will remain—rooted in love, faith, and the promise of eternal life.
“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed.” Proverbs 31:26-28 NIV
