On Sunday February 20, 2022 I lost the love of my life, Connie J. King. She was the most wonderful, caring person that God had ever gave us! She enjoyed her family and friends and lived life to the full measure. She loved riding motorcycles, especially her own.
Connie was born in Oak Ridge, TN., in November 18, 1946 to Thomas E. Rector and the late Mary Nelle Rector. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School and received an Associate Degree from Covenant College. She worked for and retired from TVA after 30 plus years of service working in the IT department.
She was married to Joe Byrl King, Jr., on July 7, 1999. Those years were the happiest of her life. She was loved so much. Connie loved her family it was her life, especially her granddaughter Bailey. Connie was a Christian and a true believer.
Connie was preceded in death by her aforementioned mother, and a son Jason Frizzell.
Left behind to cherish Connie’s memory are her husband Joe Byrl King, Jr., son Mark (Gale) Frizzell, granddaughter Bailey (Tyler) Rogers, father Thomas E. Rector, sister Debbie (Steve) Henegar and her niece Khari Spence, and many dear friends, especially those in the Hog Club.
A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Thursday February 24, 2022 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ChattanoogaEastChapel.com for the King family.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
