David Edward Clark, 86, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born February 19, 1940, in Chattanooga, he will be remembered as a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him.
David graduated from Central High School. He later dedicated many years of faithful service to Dupont Corporation, where he built a respected career before retiring. He was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Wolftever Fishing Club.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh Clark and Nadine Petty Clark; Daughter, Cheryl Suddeth; brother, Raymond Clark; and sister, Renee Hughs.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Doris Clark; sons, Eric (Stacie) Clark and Greg Clark; grandchildren, Lake Clark, Saylor Clark, Brandy Sanders, Zack Suddeth, Amber Konacevich, and Billy Zimmerman; great-grandchildren, Noah Sanders, Bella Durham,
Olivia Suddeth, Corbin Suddeth, Jaxon Durham, and Zoe Williams; and sister Sheila Burrows.
The family will receive friends from 1-3PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Maple Grove Baptist Church, 9525 Birchwood Pike, Harrison, TN 37341. A memorial service will follow at 3p.m.
