Don had been a car salesman at multiple dealerships and was the previous owner of Plaza Car Wash.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Grant; parents, Herbert and Helen Grant; four sisters; four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Janice F. Grant; daughters, Dara J and James Nichols and Peggy and Tom Harbison; son, Don Jr. and Shirley Grant; two sisters, Martha Lou Gouger and Ann Higdon; five grandchildren, Katherine Gannaway, Jennifer Faulk, Matthew Harbison, Corey Grant and Greg Grant; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Fred Santana officiating.
