Elizabeth Jeanette Talley-Thacker, 96, of Rossville passed away on May 20, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. “Pat” as she was affectionately known was an avid traveler, she enjoyed many trips to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. She also enjoyed spending time gardening. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Pat always had a camera in hand taking pictures of anyone and everything. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Parkway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William M. Talley and her second husband, Harold Thacker, son, Melvin Prosser, Jr., parents, Joseph and May Bell Burney, her 12 siblings, Carl; Joe; Richard; John; Jim; David; Dan; Ronald; Alice; Tina; Loretta; and an infant brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Lavenia Quarles, grandchildren, Mike (Doris) Kitchens, Becky (Neil) Meeks, Rhonda (Randy) Harrison, Lacey (Bryan) Russell, Sabra (Bryan) King, Haden (Shelby Silvers) Sowder, great-grandchildren, Megan; Melanie; Mark; Will; Laila; Brandon; Bryson; Olivia; Braylen; Weston; and one on the way, great-great-grandchildren, Junior; Jamie; and Conner, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 23, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, William M. Talley in the Lakewood East Memory Gardens.
