Frances B. Jenkins

Frances Betty Jenkins, 96, of East Ridge, TN went home to see her Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 with her family by her side. Frances was born in Old Fort, TN., on August 7, 1928, to the late Robert Virgil Pullen and Lucretia Hayes Pullen. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Frances was the oldest member of South Seminole Baptist. A faithful member for 66 years. She taught 3rd Grade Sunday School for over 40 years. She was involved with many church activities, including WMU, music camps, and Harvestfest.

She loved to cook, sew and crochet. Always enjoyed seeing her family and you usually left with something in your hand to take home.

She was preceded in death her husband, Charles F. Jenkins, her daughter, Kathy Jenkins Cresswell, son-in-law, Darrell Cresswell and a granddaughter, Jill Posey, and 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Posey and Jimmy Posey, great-grandson, Charlie Posey, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Frances’ life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 3rd at South Seminole Baptist with Pastor(s) Greg Nash and Ron Perry officiating. The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday March 2nd from 3 to 7pm and again on Monday March 3rd at the church beginning at 10 am. Interment will be in the Lakewood Memorial Gardens South.
