Doug attended Jones Memorial United Methodist Church growing up and again for over 20 years when he moved back to Chattanooga from Atlanta in the mid-90s.
Doug was a veteran of the Army serving Honorably from 1968-1972. Doug was also well known in music scene in Chattanooga in the 1960s for playing Saxophone in his band, The Royals.
He is survived by his son Shawn, his granddaughters, Riley; Ainsley; and Presley Craig, a niece Ann Laswell, a nephew Ben Craig, and many dear friends.
Funeral services for Fred will be held at Jones Memorial UMC at 2:00 pm Friday May 2, 2025 with burial to follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
