He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Ward; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Peggy Ward; daughter, Susan (Rick) McClain; son, Ricky (Colleen) Ward; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Patrick Cooper officiating. Burial will be later in Corinth Church Cemetery in Loudon, TN.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
