Mrs. Spencer was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She was a member of First SDA Church, and was formerly employed at Chattanooga City Schools having been a secretary at Ridgedale Elementary and Lookout Valley Middle and High Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Spencer.
Surviving are her son, David (Linda) Spencer; daughter, Lynnette (Mark) Smyth; grandchildren, Marc Spencer, Rebecca Loveday and Tina Leon; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, George and Susan Miller.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South, Rossville, GA.
