

Mr. Lomenick was born in East Ridge to Presley and Annie Lomenick. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he belonged to the band and choir. He graduated from Chattanooga Central High School in 1944, and then joined the US Army serving with the 77th Infantry Division in the Philippines, Okinawa, and the Army of Occupation in Mainland Japan. After his service, he graduated from MacPhail College of Music, receiving a Masters of Music Education. He served as a band director for 25 years for the State of Minnesota School System, where he retired and moved back to East Ridge to build and manage Lomenacque Apartments from 1971 until his death. He was also a member of the Chattanooga Musicians Union and American Legion Post 95 for over 25 years serving in the band.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marion Lomenick; children, Dennis (Patricia) Lomenick, Loren (Melinda) Lomenick, and LaDonna Lomenick; grandchildren, Mark (Anna) Lomenick of Germany, Brett (Sandy) Lomenick of Los Angeles, CA, Angel and Vanessa Frank of Denver, CO, Laura Lomenick of Plymouth, England, and David and Colleen Lomenick of Minnesota; great-grandsons, Linus and Colin Lomenick of Germany; sister, Jacqueline (Bill) Bookout; brother, Thomas (Muriel) Lomenick; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 31st at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 2 PM on Thursday, April 1st at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Jonathan Horsman officiating and visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lomenick Cemetery in East Ridge.
