Bud lived a life shaped by hard work, resilience, and love. He proudly served the United States military and went on to retire as a truck driver after many years on the road. He did things his own way and stood firm in who he was.
He shared his life with his wife, Kathleen “Kit” Davis, whom he loved profoundly. He was the father of five children– Fran, Frankie, Christi, Jeff, and Stacey– and the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Bud was truly one of a kind. He could be extremely stubborn and was never afraid to speak his mind, but those who knew him best understood the depth of his love. He had a special way of checking in on the people he cared about, always making sure they were okay. In those quiet, consistent moments, he showed just how much his family meant to him.
At his core, he was a family man. He loved being surrounded by those he cared about and his presence–whether through laughter, stories, or simply being there–left a lasting impression. His full-bellied laugh was unforgettable, the kind that filled a room and brought joy to everyone around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and one brother.
Though his life was not without its challenges, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on through the family he cherished so deeply. He will be remembered for his strength, his personality, and the way he loved in his own steady and genuine way.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 8th, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM with a service to follow at Chattanooga Funeral Home in East Ridge, Tennessee.
He will be extremely missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
