Jimmy was born and raised in Chattanooga and was a graduate of Kirkman High School, Class of 1966. He was a member of the former East Lake Baptist Church and worked at Atlas Chemical before relocating to the Atlanta area. He worked at Eastern Airlines for 17 years and later retired as a self-employed Manufacturing Representative.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Morrell Lybrand; brothers, Marlon and Melvis Lybrand; and sister, Martina Snyder.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela McGee Lybrand of Newnan, GA; children, Stephanie Lybrand Mott of Newnan, GA and Shawn (Rachel) Lybrand of Sharpsburg, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Mott, Savannah Lybrand and Dane Lybrand; brother, Bill Lybrand of Buford, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 6:30 PM on Sunday and 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the funeral home with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
