Janet Rogers

We celebrate the life of Gladys ’Janet’ Rogers. Janet went to be with the Lord March 28, 2025. Janet was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 50 years.

Janet is survived by her son Rick Rogers (Ragan), and daughter Janet Curlee (Jamey) and grandchildren Madison Rogers, Jaggerd Moore, Miley Moore, Laura Beth Fenton(Nick), JB Curlee (Sammie), Abbie Curlee, and Stephen Curlee. Also, her sister Rose Mary Baker and nephews, Todd Baker and Rod Baker.

She is preceded in death by her parents Horace ‘Buck’ Green and Lois Green and her husband George.

Janet was a part of the East Ridge community for 80 years. She was a Sunday School teacher, highly regarded substitute teacher and avid bowler. She participated and belonged to many different organizations in the Chattanooga area. She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She is remembered as sweet, loving and selfless.

The family would like to express our deepest appreciation for three of her dedicated and empathetic Hospice Care staff; Sue, Wanda, and Abby.

Visitation will be held at the Chattanooga Funeral Home East from 9:30 am -10:30 am on Tuesday, 04/01/25. Immediately following the visitation, Pastor Roy Gentry will lead a graveside service at the National Cemetery at 11:00 am.
