Jeanette Watts

Jeanette was born on October 17, 1932 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Zannie and Rena Milliken. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, “Herbert” and 7 siblings.

She was a long time member of City Church of Chattanooga, where she served in different capacities. She was also part of the Manning Sunday school class for many years.

In 1950, Jeanette married the love of her life, “Herbert”. Together they built a life full of love, faith and family.

Jeanette was the one everyone came to for encouragement, advice, recipes or to pray for them. She was the glue that held our family together. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Jerry) Phillips, Cathy (Jimmy) Burgess, and Donna (Chris) Allen, 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in the funeral home with Pastor Ernie Reno officiating. Interment to follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
