Joseph Anthony “Tony” Ellis, age 51, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia died Saturday, March 24, 2012 in a local hospital. He was born in Tucker, Georgia to the late William and Shirley Ellis. He worked at Abra Body Shop. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Rhylie Joyce.
Survivors include his wife Lorrie Ellis; two sons Joseph A. Ellis, Jr. and Brian Anthony Ellis Swafford; four daughters Brandy Starr Ellis, Amanda Sue Ellis, Heather Lashay Ellis and Carla Nichole Ellis; two step children Diana Lynn White and Christopher Michael Hanson; eight grandchildren Crystal, Xylie, Adden, Kenya, Kaylie, Neaveh, Aaron, Stephen, Logan and Chloe; four brothers William H. Ellis, Arthur Clarence Ellis, Robert B. Ellis and Tracy L. Ellis and one sister Margaret Ellis; six nieces and eight nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:30 Wednesday March 28, 2012 in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8 at the funeral home.
