Juliette B Perrin

Juliette graduated Loreauville High School in 1953 and attended the University of Tennessee in Memphis where she earned a certificate of dental hygiene in 1956 and met her husband, Foy. Her short career in dental hygiene ended when she and Foy welcomed their first child in 1959. She was a dedicated wife and mother known for her smile, excellent cooking, soft-spoken kindness, and strong faith. For years, she began each morning before dawn reading her Bible and several devotionals, often underlining verses and writing notes in the margins. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. She had an artistic vein and her quilts and hand-decorated eggs are cherished by those who received them as gifts. Family gatherings continue to feature dishes and desserts that she made traditional favorites.

Juliette is survived by sister Rita Segura, brother Ray Broussard, sister-in-law Jean Broussard, her four children: Shannon Perrin Butler, Stephen Broussard (Connie) Perrin, Michael Scott Perrin, and Tracie Perrin (James) Segura, her ten grandchildren: Juliette (Evan) Veregge, Cecilia Butler, Cole and Laynie Perrin, Michael, Maxwell, and Olivia Perrin, and Claire, Lane and Weston Segura, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two loving caregivers, Janice Cooper and Wilma Hudgins, who performed God’s work in going above and beyond caring for Juliette.

She is preceded in death by her husband Millard Foy Perrin, M.D., parents Isaure B. and Rule Broussard, brothers, Oswald Broussard, Lloyd Broussard, and Lee Broussard, sisters Camille Broussard, Elsie Bazer, and Lorraine Breaux, and son-in-law John Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Graveside service will be Saturday, January 8th at 1:30pm at Forest Hills Cemetery.
