Mary B. Night, 95, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, the University of Chattanooga and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. Mary had been a physical education teacher at Rossville High School. She was a member of Walker County Retired Teachers Association and the Rossville High School Alumni Association. She was the last of a generation.
Mary had a great sense of humor, enjoyed life and always smiled with a twinkle in her eye. She had great love and appreciation for her PE “girls”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Conner Knight parents, Hartford D. and Clementine Zimmerman Boyle and a brother, John Boyle.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 30 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Jim Vick Officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday, August 29 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
