Mildred Laverne Brewster, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mildred was born on October 15, 1927 in Bridgeport, Alabama to the late James William and Eva Priscilla Matthews. In June of 1944, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Homer Brewster.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette and her son Scott, one sister, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Thomas Quisenberry officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please either donate to the American Cancer Society or Heartlite Hospice.
