

She graduated from Central High School and worked for South Central Bell/AT&T before retiring after 37 years of service. She worked various jobs while employed there, including switchboard operator, answering service, and drafting clerk. She loved nature, animals (especially her hummingbirds), crocheting with her friends at church, and reading her mystery novels. More than anything else, she loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George C. and Willa Mae O'Neal; brother George C. O'Neal; husband Gordon Franklin Troutman; an infant son, Kevin Conley Troutman.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa (Brad) Buek; son Brian Troutman; two grandchildren, Grace and Emma; two nieces, Peggy (Allen) Hicks and Patricia Melvin.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Tommy Messer officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
