Norman N. Rollins, Jr., 78, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Norman was born on August 4, 1943, in Bridgeport, Alabama, to the late Norman N., Sr., and Opal (Ridley) Rollins. He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, June (Jesse) Tant and Gayle Hudson.
He moved to Chattanooga at age 12 and graduated from Central High School in 1961. Norman worked as a delivery truck driver and mechanic until getting on at DuPont and retired after 38 years of service.
He enjoyed playing golf with his brother on TVA league. Norman loved fishing and hunting with his two uncles. He was talented with skeet shooting.
Norman is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Rollins; his daughter, Michelle (Danny) Lewis; his son, Jeff Rollins; his grandsons; Seth (Courtney) Lewis and Jacob Lewis; great-grandson, Levi Lewis; his brother, Roger (Tricia) Rollins; niece, Brenda (Tim) Waddell; special cousin, Rose Blevins.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home – East Chapel. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens West in Chattanooga.
