It's been a year, but it feels like so much more time has passed. We still miss you greatly, and wish you were here....

Mayo's Clinic was one of my favorite hangouts back in the early 90's and Pat was always the bright light (and huge personality) in a dark bar. He always had a big smile and nice things to say to everyone that entered. After moving away from Chattanooga, 16 years later, I returned to Mayo's to visit. Whether or not he remembered me, Pat acted as though he did...and I choose to believe he truly did. He was a character and I will ALWAYS remember him fondly!

Remember our old neighborhood at North Briar Lane many moons ago. I fondly remember playing card games at various neighbors homes. Pat was always the life of the party. There were times he would call and invite me to shoot baskets and he always wanted to keep score. He was one of the most competive men I've known. That competitiveness held him in good stead in his life. He was always striving to better himself and help others.

My prayer is that you and your fmaily will celebrate your life together and cherish those special moments. 

May God bless you and watch over you during the lonely times. May He send angels to accompany you and lift you up. May friends and family be there for you as you grieve Pat's passing and offer you hugs to carry you throughout the coming days.

I was so sorry to hear about Pat.  He will always be part of my Notre Dame High School memories.  I used to love to dance with Pat, as did all the girls.  God's blessing on Pat and his loved ones.

I liked Pat from the first instant I met him, which was several years ago when his brother George invited my son Michael & me to a Mayo holiday gathering at the home of his sister & brother-in-law.  It was dark when we left  and I was uncertain which way was home, so Pat & Sara went out of their way to put us on the right road.  I have a feeling from all that I have heard about him that Pat helped put many "on the right road" during his years in this life.  Helping them find work, fund-raising for worthy causes, helping in many ways.  May Our Heavenly Father bless him with a place in the promised home of those who love God & their fellow man.  Pat certainly showed that by his many good deeds for others.

Sara, So sorry to here of the loss of Pat,your in my prayers.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Pat. He was a wonderful man and the memories of playing on his pool team and going to Las Vegas with him will always be cherished. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

To all the Mayo family.. 
I met Pat back in 1989 when i was told we were having the Best burger in town by another employee i worked with at Firestone(Keith Brown).. The burger was great and so was the service, over the years i couldnt count the number of times ive been there for various reasons and there would be no way to say i expected to form a friendship as i did way back in 89 that still goes on .. Pat just knocked me over again and again with his kindness as well with his quirky ramblings on the Mic when he seen me coming thru the door and blurt something like "Here comes the only guy in brainerd uglier then me"(was all in fun and thats what you had when you were around Pat).. 
Ive always been made feel at home anytime ive been there, Pat is a great man and im sure with his passing that Heaven just got funnier and brighter..

From the Chapman family, we love and miss Pat as if he was a member of our family..

The Mayos r the strongest people I have ever met, and even though yalls hearts r heavy, and hurting more than imaginable right now, remember that we all gained an amazing man as our Angel yesterday!!
