Politimi Kouris, 57, of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 in a local hospital. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and Ladies of Philoptochos. Mrs. Kouris had been employed with Fresh Market.
Survivors include her husband, George Kouris; children, Michael Kouris, Peter Kouris and Angela Kouris; grandchildren, Christopher Robert Kouris, George Alexander Kouris, Myra Kouris and Michael Kouris, Jr.; mother, Vasiliki Gianakopoulos; brother, Apostolos Gianakopoulos; sister, Ioanna Gerondithe; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Wednesday at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Father Stavros Ballas officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday with a trisagion service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
