Ralph Edwin Guider Jr

Ralph Guider passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the age of 75. Ralph was born on May 8, 1946, in Chattanooga, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph E. Guider and Mary Jo (McAmis) Guider.

Ralph served in the Navy during the Vietnam era. Ralph attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Ralph enjoyed 45 years in the automotive business. Ralph worked at both Newton Chevrolet and John Hicks Oldsmobile and served as the business manager, president and general manager of Tri-state Volkswagen. 25 of his happiest years was as the sales manager for Trotter Buick. Ralph served three terms as president of the Southeastern Sales Managers Association for Buick Motor Division, also receiving many awards such as the Buick Royal Purple Elite, which was one of only 50 in over 1800 nationwide.

Ralph enjoyed coaching youth baseball for many years. He loved Tennessee Vol Football, Lady Vol Basketball and Lady Vol Softball. Ralph's greatest loves were his three grandchildren. His world truly revolved around each of them.

Ralph leaves behind his wife, Janice Guider, sons, Andy (Kari) Guider, Greg (Malinda) Guider, his precious grandchildren, Katie (Brandon) Parrish, Kaylee and Kaleb Guider, one sister, Gail Guider Lockerby and two nephews, Charlie Ralph Lockerby and Ted Guider Lockerby. He will also be missed by his furry friend, Lulu Louise.

The services will be graveside at the National Cemetery with Dr. Courtney Kruger giving the eulogy at on Thursday April 21, 2022 at 1:30 pm. He will be laid to rest with military honors.
