Mr. Rembert Reeve Owen Jr.

Mr. Owen was born on July 12, 1949. He was the son of Mary G. Owen and the late Rembert Reeve Owen, Sr. Along with his mother hHe is survived by his wife, Kathryn Hood Owen, his sister, Susan O. Utt, and an extend family in Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. He was an avid fly fisherman and golfer and was blessed with many dear friends.

Mr. Owen grew up on Signal Mountain. He was a charter member of Signal Crest United Church. He graduated from McCallie School in 1967 and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1973 where he was a member of the ATO fraternity.

Mr. Owen has lived in Houston for the past 26 years. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and on the Altar Guild. He was Managing Director of Commercial Mortgage Lending for AIG Asset Management.

The funeral will be Nov. 21 at 11:00 at Signal Crest United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Gooden officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga funeral Home 404 S. Moore RD Chattanooga.
