

Ruby D. Terrell, 92, a native of Chattanooga, passed away, Friday, August 7, 2015. She was a graduate of Birchwood High School, and was valedictorian of her class. She attended Edmondson Business College and worked for several years at Wade Brown Furniture Company, and then at Killebrew, Lyman and Woodward. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lennie (Barger) Davis of Georgetown; three brothers, W.S. Davis of Georgetown, Arthell Davis of Cleveland, and James Davis of Chattanooga. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Terrell.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Joe Terrell; four step-children Charlie (Iris) Terrell, Elaine (John) Holland, Linda and Jan Rodriguez all of Chattanooga, and Ann (Bill) Davis of Huntsville, Alabama. She is also survived by three nephews, Marshall Davis of Lexington, Virginia, Mike Davis of Cleveland, and Richard Davis of Chattanooga; several cousins and step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church from 10-11 Monday, August 10.
A funeral mass will be 11:00 am Monday at St Stephen’s Catholic Church.
The family would like to especially thank Bernice Flippen for her care for Ruby during the last few years and to Hospice of Chattanooga and the staff of Bradley Health Care and Rehab for all their care.
