

Sam was born in Hillsboro, TN and raised in Chattanooga. He was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church and belonged to the Pryor-Dixon Sunday School Class. He had owned and operated Stubblefield Construction for over 40 years and was a U. S. Army WWII veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Lynn Stubblefield; parents, Octa and Samuel Stubblefield, Sr.; and 5 siblings.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Stubblefield; daughter, Diana Sikes; son, Brian (Terri) Stubblefield; step children, Mel (Amanda) Powell and Rhonda (Eddie) Neal; grandchildren, Justin and Jordan Reddick, Will and Reid Stubblefield, Riley, Luke and David Powell, and Rance and R. L. Neal; great-granddaughter, Katherine; sisters, Pearl Whaley and Barbara (Donald) Angland; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 PM and 5 to 7 PM on Sunday at the funeral home and again on Monday from 12 Noon to 1 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Rowland officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Pryor-Dixon Sunday School Class.
