William Hunter Hackworth, Jr., 56, of Ringgold, GA passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at his home. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, an avid sports fan and had coached basketball at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mr. Hackworth attended Cleveland State College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and was self employed as a manufacturers rep.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Hunter Hackworth, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ann “Shay” Watson Hackworth; children, William Hunter Hackworth, III, Travis Lee Wilson and Meghan Ann Wilson; mother Adamae Thomas Hackworth; sister, Victoria Bennett and her husband Roger; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mike Creson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Wednesday in the Holy Family Hall at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
