

Anthony Marc Young was born April 2, 1965 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the third oldest of four children, born to Eddie and Janie Young of Brooklyn, New York. He suddenly fell asleep in death on Monday, November 23, 2015.
Anthony or "Tone" as he was affectionately called by those who knew and loved him, graduated from the New York School of Printing in 1983. He then went on to study at New York City Technical College.
Tone followed his passion of driving and was employed by MTA as a bus driver for 2 years. He eventually landed a job driving with the United Postal Service for the past 20 years. He was joyfully looking forward to his retirement in the next four years when he planned to travel and enjoy life with his loving wife.
Tone was a warm, loving, and compassionate person that loved his family and friends. He was known for his joking, and jovial spirit that was truly infectious. His generosity was unmatched and was well known by others especially his family. He always extended his best, unselfishly to others without hesitation. Regardless of the situation he could always put a smile on your face. He had a real love for cars, cars, and more cars. He loved working on cars, admiring cars and driving cars of all types whether they were real or toy models. On July 12, 2003, Tone married his true love, "Niece" in the Bronx, NY. They then relocated to Henryville, PA. Everyone who knows Tone knows how he loved his "boo”. They were truly inseparable and the best of friends.
Tone is survived by his parents Eddie and Janie Young of Laurel, MD; wife-Vernice Young; two daughters-Tisha Kirkland and Tyshel Ellis; two grandchildren-Isaiah Kirkland and Azay Kirkland; One sister- Teresa Blackshear(Eno Blackshear) of Laurel, MD; two brothers- Joseph Young (Brenda Young) Brooklyn, NY and Eddie Young Jr(Kim Young).of NJ; two nieces-Britney Daniel(James Daniel) and Akira Young; one nephew-Jeremy Young; and one great niece-Kennedy Daniel. Tone had a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
There will be a public viewing held on Wednesday December 2, 2015 from 1pm until the time of service. The funeral service will begin at 3pm, officiated by Elder Jody Young at the Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. A Private cremation will be held at the convenience of the family.
