

Charlotte C. Seese, 92, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 21, 2016 at Grace Park Senior Living Well. She was the wife of the late Dawson L. Seese, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2009.
Born on February 20, 1924 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Mary (Cortright) Clifton.
Upon graduating from East Stroudsburg High school, Charlotte enrolled in a two year program of secretarial school. While her husband went to war, she stayed home to raise her two children while working as a secretary for McGraw-Edison (Line Material). As her career advanced, Charlotte became the Assistant to the General Manager at McGraw-Edison. After retirement, Charlotte and Dawson loved to travel. One of their most favorite destinations was Hawaii. She loved to read, shop, and volunteer at Pocono Village Senior Care in her spare time.
Charlotte was a lifelong member of The First Baptist Church in East Stroudsburg, where she enjoyed participating in the senior jubilee club. She was a wonderful, kind lady who will be sincerely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, and her love, Dawson, Charlotte was preceded in death by her sister: Roberta Jones, and her brother: Harry Clifton.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Thomas Seese and his wife Budd Louise, of Strongsville, OH, and Terence Seese and his wife Allyn, of Warren, NJ; Her grandchildren: Randall Seese and his wife Anita, of Aliquippa, PA; Stephen Seese and his wife Kathryn, of Parma, OH; Jeffery Seese and his husband Travis Patton, of Washington D.C.; Jennifer Daley and her husband Aaron, of Hoboken, NJ; and her 5 great-grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 9am-11am at The Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. The funeral service will begin at 11am, officiated by Pastor David Cornell, of The First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Prospect Cemetery, 501 Prospect Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church, 160 N Courtland St, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
