
Born in Patterson, NJ, on April 17, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Nellie (Randle) Harding. Edith graduated from Passaic Valley High School, class of 1955 and continued her education at Sussex County Community College, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. Edith was employed as an LPN at Andover Nursing Home, Andover, NJ; and the Evangelical Homes, Rochester Hill, MI; retiring from that position.
She was a member of the Regency Cove Friendship Club, and enjoyed her retirement partaking in their activities. Edith was of the Methodist Faith.
Edith enjoyed traveling, biking, gardening, bridge club, cards, and doing arts and crafts. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband of 48 years Henry Douma, who passed away on February 7, 2006.
Surviving are her children, Kathleen Villanveva of Sparta, NJ, Darlene Day and her husband Jerry of Milford, PA, Carl Douma and his wife Agnes of Wantage, NJ, Cheryl Douma of Sarasota, FL, and Eric Douma of Clinton Twp. MI; sisters, Margaret Ryan and her husband Joseph of Pennington, NJ, and Kathleen Smith and her husband Edward of Frankford, NJ; grandchildren, Michael Adrian, Tyler, Kevin, Jason, CJ, Kristen, Erika, Kayla Alissa, and Alex.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
