
Born in Brooklyn N.Y. on June 17, 1941 he was a son of the late Francis P. Sr. and Lenora Jean (Trama) Curran. Francis graduated from the Manual Training High School class of 1957. Mr. Curran retired from Local Union # 3 New York, N.Y., in 2004.
He was a member of St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, East Stroudsburg. Francis loved to dance and liked to read. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an amateur comedian, who loved to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents is a sister: Patricia Jean Racalbuto and brother: Richard Paul Curran.
Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Kathleen (Spinelli) Curran of East Stroudsburg; sons: Francis P. Curran, III and his wife Lori of Sunrise, FL and Dominic T. Curran of Staten Island, NY; daughters: Kathleen M. Curran of East Stroudsburg and Geannine Contreras and her husband Mike of Staten Island, NY; brother: Robert Nicholas Curran and his wife Laura of Tamarac, FL; sisters: Lillian Lombardi and her husband John of Brooklyn, NY, Kathleen Foster and her husband Robert of Bath, PA and Elizabeth Curran of Brooklyn, NY; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday February 4, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, with a mass of Christian burial at noon in St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, 200 Brodhead Ave., East Stroudsburg, with Rev. Augustine celebrant. Interment will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
