John N Emery

John N. Emery, 83, of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the VNA Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Dolores (Daniels) Emery for 59 years.

He was born on September 23, 1931 in Bushkill, PA. He was the son of the late Stanley and Eunice (Smith) Emery.

John began his career for PP&L at 16 years old in 1948 working in construction in Hawley, PA and finished as the area foreman with the Pocono Service Center, retiring in 1989 from PP&L. John was a devoted family man; he valued time spent with his loving children and grandchildren. He was a talented wood crafter, and enjoyed fishing and traveling. John was a hard working “self-made man” that will be missed by many.

In addition to his wife Dolores; Surviving is his daughter Cathleen Lazeration and her husband Mark, of Kittanning PA; Son Stanley Emery and his wife Nancy, of Jonas PA. Grandchildren; John Emery and his fiancée Brittany of Chapman, PA; Jordan, Cherish, Lacey and their father Timothy Hamilton of Rochester Mills, PA; Great-granddaughter Juliet Hamilton.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
