

Born on October 19, 1931, John was the son of the late Edna (Wilton) and Henry O’Connell, of New Jersey City, NJ.
Jack was a Marine for 4 years and served in the Korean War. He enjoyed rebuilding cars and flying airplanes. He attended Manhattan College where he obtained two Master’s Degrees. He was a teacher of River Dell Junior High School where he later became the principal.
Jack is predeceased by his parents; his second wife, Pamela (Troll) O’Connell; and his two brothers, Wilton “Buddy”, and Christopher Thomas, whom was killed in action +/- 1945. He is survived by his significant other of 16 years, Laurie Dunlap; his two sons, John Henry O’Connell and wife Tracey, and Christopher O’Connell and wife Marcia; his daughter, Debbie Quinn and husband Daniel; and 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A service for Jack will be held at the Canadensis United Methodist Church, corner of 447 and route 390, Canadensis PA, on December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
