Majorie B. Morris

Born in Pen Argyl, PA, on June 13, 1943 she was the daughter to the late John C. and Elizabeth (Rutt) Rouch. Marjorie worked many years for the Salvation Army in East Stroudsburg, and in New Haven, CT, as a Bookkeeper. She volunteered at the Salvation Army a lot some of her favorite activities that she volunteered for was the Salvation Army Rummage Sale, helping with the food pantries, Christmas Kettles, “she was the official dingalinger", and she enjoyed counting money at the end of the Salvation Army’s events.

Some of her other passions were collecting Baseball cards, state quarters, and Coca-Cola . She was a Phillies fan and loved Elvis Presley. Marjorie enjoyed going out to eat with her friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchilden. Marjorie was deeply loved by her family and friends and will forever live on in their hearts.

Surviving are two daughters: Rosemary Youmans and her husband Mike, of Kunkletown, and Diana Decker and her husband George, of Matamoras; two sons: David Morris and his wife Janet, of Winston, NC and John Morris and his fiancée Nancy Stewart, of East Stroudsburg; two brothers: Harry Rouch and his wife Wilma-Dean, of Texas and William Rouch, of Bangor; 9 Grandchildren: Rachel, Ryan, Brittany, John, Samantha Morris, Kristine, Kellie, Kevin Peters, and Isaac Decker; and 3 great grandchilden.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday July 18,2013 at 12:00 P.M. at The Salvation Army – 226 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, officiated by Major James Gingrich.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc, 27 Washington Street East Stroudsburg, from 10:30 A.M to 11:30 A.M.
