
He was born in East Stroudsburg on January 17, 1962, a son of the late Larry L. Nevil who passed away on June 20, 2001 and Carol (Peechatak) Nevil of East Stroudsburg. Mitch graduated from East Stroudsburg High School, where he played on the football team and served his country in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge Mitch returned home to Monroe County and began his working career as a pressmen for Hughes Printing Company, East Stroudsburg, working there until its closing and then for United Steel Products, East Stroudsburg and Laird Technology, of Stroudsburg. Most recently Mitch was employed by Pocono Cab Company of East Stroudsburg.
He was a member of the CLU Club and the American Legion, both of East Stroudsburg. Mitch was an avid Eagles football fan; he enjoyed listening to music, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Preceding him in death in addition to his father was his nephew Mattie Nevil.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his brothers, Shane Nevil and his wife Anita of Skytop, and Jeff Nevil of East Stroudsburg; niece, Meghan Nevil of North Carolina; his girlfriend of twenty-three years Lorraine Treible and her children, Rhonda McCloughan and her husband Paul and their daughter (Mitch’s special angel) Hayley Rose McCloughan of Stroudsburg, Ronald Treible and his girlfriend, Brenda Martin of East Stroudsburg, Randy Treible and his girlfriend, Wendi Kauffman of Henryville.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday July 3, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg.
Funeral services with interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
