Nelson Montalvo

Nelson Montalvo, 57 of Bushkill, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of 19 years to Rosanna (Disciascio) Montalvo, Bushkill who he married February 2, 1996 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Born May 1, 1957 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Alberto Montalvo and Margarita (Medina) Colon, Kingston, NY.

Mr. Montalvo was employed as a Sr. Operations Director with The Villa’s at Treetops and Fairway, The Bushkill Group. He enjoyed golf, vacations, sports especially the New York Giants and the Mets. Nelson was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and the biggest kid of them all. Nelson was known for being a “Sci Fi Nerd” and enjoyed Star Trek, Star Wars and the Comics.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are 4 children: Christopher N. Montalvo and his wife April, Lake City FL; Stephen A. Montalvo, Swift Water, PA; Michele M. Montalvo, Floral Park, NY; Domenic N. Montalvo, Bushkill, PA; 5 grandchildren: Erika, Eva, Ethan, Madison and Kori; 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Vivian Montalvo, Bethlehem, PA; Maria Ranzer, Kingston, NY; Alberto Montalvo, Jr., Yonkers, NY; Manuel Montalvo, Daro, CT; nieces and nephews: Michael, Danny, Paul, Natalie, David, Eric and Gerard; also friends: John and Leslie Cox, Bushkill.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother: Eriberto Montalvo.

A Catholic Prayer Service will be Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 with Rev. Fr. Jeffrey J. Walsh as celebrant. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be Thursday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM the time of service at the funeral home.
