
Born in Port Jervis, NY on September 14, 1921 he was the son to the late Ralph and Catherine (Rice) Coleman. Ralph attended high school in Port Jervis until he enlisted into the Army on October 9, 1939. He received the Rifle Sharpshooter and Carbine Sharpshooter remarks during the service in 1943.
He worked many years as a production Foreman at Drackett, in PA and retired in 1982.
Ralph was a member of the American Legion and the 28th Division Society. He enjoyed watching the Phillies baseball games and the Flyer’s hockey games. Ralph enjoyed playing golf.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his son: Thomas Coleman whom passed away in 2003.
Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years: Mary Coleman, of East Stroudsburg; a daughter: Judith Rodgers and her husband Ray, of East Stroudsburg; two grandchildren: Mark Rodgers and his wife Susan, and Dana Weighley and her husband Brad, of Harrisburg; two great grandchildren: Samantha and Madison Rodgers; a niece Shirley Schoonover and her husband John.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg with Rev. John W. Harding, Pastor of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Craigs Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2013 from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service
