He was born in the Bronx, NY, on October 20, 1961 a son of Wilfred and Dorothy (Woods) Isabelle of Quinlan, T.X. Robert graduated from Ramapo Senior High School and went on to attend Farmingdale College in Long Island NY to study horticulture. He started his own landscaping company before becoming a New York City, Firefighter. While working as a New York City Firefighter he continued to run his landscaping company with his son Brian. He retired from the New York City, Fire Department and relocated to the Bushkill section of Pike County.
Robert was a member of the New York City FDNY Retirees Pocono Division; he took pride in his home; spending time landscaping and crafting it to be the nicest house on the block. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking big Sunday dinners, taking family vacations, and being out on the boat in the deep Atlantic or on the Hudson River fishing. Robert was always trying to learn something new, whether it be woodworking, building, cooking, locksmithing, he would keep at it until he mastered it and then move on to the next project.
