

Roy James Ziegler, 99, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Saturday afternoon January 19, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley Manor, Hamilton Twp. He was predeceased by his wife Vivian (Fredericks) Ziegler, who passed away on March 8, 1998and they shared 55 years of marriage.
Mr. Ziegler was born on May 11, 1913 in Fultonville, NY; he was a son to the late Charles Roy and Alice (England) Ziegler. Roy graduated from Butler High School, Butler, NJ; in 1932 and Pratt Institute of Science and Technology, Manhattan, NY; in 1940 with a Bachelor’s of Chemical Engineering Degree. He primarily worked in the Fragrance Industry with the exception of four and a half years he served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plans, NJ.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents and wife was a brother Harold Conrad Ziegler.
Surviving are nieces, Susan Reycraft and her husband Joel of Palm City, FL; Carolyn Kavanaugh and her husband Frank of Asbury, NJ; Donna Van Kirk and her husband Larry of Saline, MI; and Barbara Fredericks of Oak Ridge, NJ.
Grave side funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains Cemetery, Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Planes, NJ with Rev. Kathleen Edwards-Chase Pastor of the First Reformed Church officiating. Interment will follow the service.
Family and friends my gather at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc. 27 Washington Street East Stroudsburg, on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
