Allan Edward Piatt was born in Edmond, Oklahoma, on February 25, 1944. He entered Heaven on November 27, 2025. Allan was the youngest child of Raymond and Cleo Piatt of Edmond, Oklahoma. He lived each day guided by his love for God and family, and supporting the Oklahoma Sooners. He married the love of his life, Larque, on May 30, 1985. They shared a lifetime of sweet memories and true love. His children were some of his greatest blessings. Allan lived his life with a quiet strength and a generous heart, always putting his faith and family at the center of everything he did. He spent his later years pouring love, guidance, and steadfast support into each generation. His loving spirit, strong faith, and dedication to those he loved left a lasting legacy that will be treasured forever.
Allan also lived a life grounded in family, church, friends, and the beauty of God’s creation. He spent over 50 years in the insurance industry as an Agent, helping his clients both near and far. He was a devoted member of his church choir, serving a term as their Choir President, and a cherished voice in his quartet, where he sang for over 30 years. He also served in the church, alongside Larque, as Director of the Young Married department, Director of their Sunday School class, and on numerous church Committees. He also loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing by the water, casting a line, tinkering around his barn, tending to his prized vegetable gardens yearly, or spending crisp mornings out with his lifelong buddies hunting with his award-winning and well-trained German Shorthair Pointers. Softball was one of his favorite pastimes—whether he was playing, coaching, or supporting his Sooners. He spent a number of years in a Christian Dinner Club, where he made lasting friendships, precious memories, and won many card games. Yet nothing meant more to him than spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were truly the greatest joys of his life, and he loved each of them deeply.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Cleo Piatt; his brother, Harold Piatt; and Harold’s wife, Verba. He is survived by his loving, steadfast, and dedicated wife, Larque, his children Terri Dawn Cline Bowman, her husband Dennis, Richard Allan and his wife Laura, Jason Patrick Goodner and wife Adena, and daughter, Lindsay Nicole. His cherished grandchildren, Brian Cline and his wife Jordan, Justin Cline and his wife Katie, Cody Bowman, Mark Piatt and his wife Devon, Matthew Piatt and his wife Camryn, Mason Piatt and his wife Sydnee, Ashleigh, Landon and Grant Goodner. His treasured great-grandchildren Morgan LaNelle, Maycie Jean, Hunter Faye, Lowell Coen, James Allan, and James’s future baby sister or brother, Gray Allan, Rylee Faye, and Jackson Clifford, and survived by his sister, Marilyn Rentfrow, and brother Lee Roy Piatt. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends galore.
Allan’s life was a testament to faith, family, and the beauty of a life lived with purpose and love. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Integris Hospice House of Oklahoma City, or Edmond’s First Baptist Renovation fund.
