

Former Secretary of State, Blossom Glorine (Glo) Henley passed away quietly on June 4, 2011 at home with family. Born on December 8, 1935 in Neshoba, OK Glo was a prominent figure in Oklahoma politics for more than 35 years. She served in the US Army. After raising her children she returned to earn her degree from Oklahoma City University in 1977. She served Governor David Walters as Secretary of State, Chief of Staff for Lt. Governor Robert S. Kerr, III, and Executive Director of Democratic Party of Oklahoma, represented Oklahoma as National Committee Woman and served in a numerous State and National campaigns.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H Henley; parents, Jessie and J.B. and her beloved pet pig “Petunia”. She is survived by her son, Jack S. Henley and wife Marilyn of Edmond; son, Brent Henley and wife Tammy of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Lisa Henley of the home; son, Brian Henley of Shreveport, LA; five grandchildren, Heather, Hallie, Lorraine, Sarah, Hunter; sister, Jo and brothers, Keith and Kevin; and a slew of friends across the nation.
