

Chris Schoolcraft, age 62 of Edmond, passed away May 6, 2010. He was born April 15, 1948 to Paul and Ruth (Daugherty) Schoolcraft in Cushing, OK. Chris graduated from Northeast High School in 1966.
He attended Central State College and was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. He then completed a 4-year apprenticeship with IBEW 1141 JATC. He became involved with NECA in 1984 and has served as both President and Governor of the local chapter. He was elected National District Vice-President in 2009. Chris was inducted into the Academy of Electrical Contractors and was also Senior Vice-President of Shawver and Son Inc. He was a 32nd Master Mason. He was an avid golfer and loved his family dearly. Chris married Cindy Parker June 28, 1968 in Edmond, OK.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy, son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Marsha Schoolcraft, his daughter and son-in-law, Shay and J. Wright, grandchildren, Becca, Nate and Abby Schoolcraft and Jesse and Carter Wright, a sister, Paula Dyer and her children, Liz Dorn, Ruthanne Freeborn and Scott Dorn.
The funeral service will be Monday, May 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Southern Hills Christian Church. He will be buried at Gracelawn Cemetery following. There will be an open viewing at Baggerley Funeral Home Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations made to NECA 112 NE 5oth, OKC, OK 73105.
