Darrell was raised in Edmond, Oklahoma. As a boy he participated in sports including baseball, football, boy scouts and wrestling. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1975. After high school, he attended OSU Okmulgee Tech to become a diesel mechanic. He worked for several years as a diesel mechanic and enjoyed repairing things with his father.
Darrell had a gentle spirit, a kind heart and a warm smile. He loved learning about theology and would often talk with others about his Christian beliefs. He loved to quote scripture to family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music and playing the guitar and harmonica. He was a good friend and beloved son, brother and uncle.
Darrell is survived by his brothers, Michael Freeman and Gregory Freeman; sister, Kimberly Long; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed dearly but we rejoice in his eternal rest with our Lord Jesus Christ.
