

He was 83 years old. On August 12, 1938, Darryl was born to Lloyd Truman and Viola Veronica Blessum in Rugby, North Dakota.
Darryl and his wife of 58 years, Donna (Wurgler) Blessum, lived on their horse and cattle ranch in Willow City, North Dakota, for 12 years before moving to Oklahoma in 1984 to raise horses. They most recently settled in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to retire.
Darryl loved all animals and raised many, including rolling pigeons, guinea hens, geese, ducks, goats, peacocks, horses, and cattle. He was also passionate about restoring and customizing classic cars. Most of all, Darryl was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching his family grow. Darryl and Donna built a lasting legacy that Darryl now leaves behind to support Donna.
Darryl is survived by his wife Donna; two children, Denise Blessum of Long Beach, CA and Dustin Blessum and wife Angela of Edmond, OK; five grandchildren: Desiree Hersey, Diego Yanez, Demi Blessum, Daxton Blessum, and Dane Blessum; and one great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Blessum; one sister, Connie Sinclair and husband Dick of Spearfish, SD; one brother, Bob Blessum and wife Nancy of Greer, SC; nephew, Scott Blessum; and nieces, Ashley and Lindsay Blessum; and many other family and friends.
