

Daryle was born on May 13, 1938 in Lamont, Oklahoma, the son of Marshall and Elga Hobbs and passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024 in Edmond, OK. He was raised on a farm with his seven siblings. After graduating high school, Daryle served in the United States Marine Corp.
He married Roszella Ricker on October 13, 1963, and together they built a loving family. Daryle was a proud 32nd Degree Mason and a committed member of the First Christian Church, where he actively participated in church activities and community service.
Daryle served with distinction as an Oklahoma State Trooper for 34 years, beginning his career in Frederick, OK, and later moving to Yukon, OK. He spent 50 years in Yukon, where he not only served his community with unwavering commitment but also raised his family with love and integrity.
An avid and lifelong collector, Daryle had a deep passion for coins and trains, amassing a remarkable collection that reflected his enthusiasm and dedication. His hobby brought joy not only to him but also to those who shared in his interests.
Survivors include his daughter Christy Sughru and husband Michael Sughru; grandchildren Samuel and Sophia Sughru.
Daryle was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Cecil, Ivan, Allen, Doug, Bernard and sister’s Betty and Donna; his wife Roszella and daughter Monica.
A visitation for Daryle will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will conduct a flag folding ceremony at 6:00 PM and all is welcome.
A graveside service will occur Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Pond Creek Cemetery, Pond Creek, OK.
