

Dewey was born on August 15, 1928, in Farmington, AR, the son of Samuel Dawson Bruce and Mary Arrnona Simmons Bruce.
Dewey worked for TransCon Trucking in Oklahoma City as a truck driver retiring in 1995 after 30 years of faithful service. Dewey married Clarice Nigh on September 13, 1975 and they were married for 37 years at the time of his death.
Dewey enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping, watching OU football and OU Women’s softball. He loved his family and grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his wife Clarice of the home; by three sons Dewey and his wife Myrna of Tuttle, OK, Jerry of Harrah, OK, and Sammy and his wife Sandra of Blanchard, OK; by two daughters Linda and her husband Woody Dancer of Moore, OK and Debbie Atherton of Oklahoma City. He is survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Dewey is also survived by four step children Sandra and her husband Jim, Eria and with wife Kathy, Bob and his wife Glenda all of Oklahoma City, and by Larry and his wife Sandy of Ponca City, Oklahoma; by six step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother James and his wife Ida of Wagner, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by four brothers Ernest, Raymond, Herschel, and Vernon; by four sisters Monie, Della, Lossie, and Lucille. He is also survived by many extended family members.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Baggerley Funeral Home, Edmond, OK with Rev. Greg Whitlow and Rev. Mylon Bruce officiating.
