

After graduating from school in Hanna, he moved to Oklahoma City to attend business school. He went to work for Evans Furniture, left to serve in the Vietnam War and then returned to Evans, working his way up to Controller, and was there until the store was sold. Doug continued working for the Evans family until his passing.
He loved the outdoors and being in the woods, on the river, or at the lake, and spent as much time as he could fishing and hunting. But he most enjoyed spending time with his family.
Doug is survived by: his wife Linda, of the home in Edmond; daughter, Stephanie McDonald of Oklahoma City; son, Kyle Campbell and wife Phylis of Oklahoma City; stepdaughters, Julie Diaz of Oklahoma City, Veronica Borrell and husband Dan of Edmond; brothers Gary Campbell and wife Pam of Claremore, Tommy and wife Connie of Ada; sisters Modine Hooten of Eufaula, Kay Gray and husband Bobby of Eufaula, Doris McCombs and husband Bob of Muskogee, Barbara Hutson of Eufaula, Vicki Bledsoe and husband Gary of Eufaula, Sondra Edwards of Eufaula, Jackie Blackburn and husband Connie of Choctaw; grandchildren, Chanel Kistler and husband Zach, Madison Choate, Kylea Jacobs and husband Jesse, Kaleb Campbell, Jessica Diaz and Sophia Diaz. Doug also leaves behind his best friends, David Evans, Bobby Gillespie, and Tim Rains.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his good friend Darrell Marshall.
