Earl was born June 21, 1953, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Glen Richard and Ellen (Alkire) Webb. He graduated from Muskogee High School in 1971. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma for 2 years. He worked for the Oklahoma turnpike, HR Hill, and Kinder Dozer, before going to work as a “dam inspector” (Civil Engineering Soils Technician) for the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) out of Perry, Oklahoma. After 18 years of service he retired from the NRCS in 2006.
Earl married Linda Corley in 1976. Their union was blessed with four wonderful children, Ted, Jeanette, Adam, and Amanda. Earl was a loving and attentive husband and father. He enjoyed watching his kids play sports, show animals, and grow up and start families of their own.
He loved working and tinkering around on tractors (especially John Deeres), diesels, and anything where he could get his hands dirty. He took time to teach his kids how to fix things with the greasiest of hands. Giving them each a love for cars and the tools to work on them!
Earl dearly loved his grandchildren and shared a special bond with each one. He loved watching them participate in their various activities (even getting out there and playing with them during family friendly sporting competitions). They brought the greatest joy to him sharing many laughs along the way.
Earl was a member of Agra First Baptist Church in Agra, Oklahoma.
Dad loved to laugh and find the humor in every situation. He was an avid John Wayne fan. His kids have fond memories of watching John Wayne movies with their dad when they were growing up. Football was his sport to watch, especially the Dallas Cowboys. His outfit of choice were overalls and a Fedora, except during the Christmas season where he was often seen donning his Santa hat. He always loved the looks he would get from kids when wearing his Santa hat with his full white beard during the Christmas season.
He joins his mother and father, his brothers, Rodney and Eddie Webb; sister, Margaret Webb; and endless family members and friends in Heaven.
He is survived by his children, Ted Webb of Norman, OK; Jeanette and her husband Brad Shropshire, of Perkins, OK; Amanda and her husband Rob Vandervoort of Conroe, TX; and Adam and wife Charene Webb of Ripley, OK; Grandchildren, Luke Webb, Landon Webb, Lynlee Webb, Bailey (Spud) Shropshire, Moriah Shropshire, Dominic Shropshire, Bobby Vandervoort, Troy (T-Roy) Vandervoort, Taylor Knight, Ivan Webb; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
