Eric Von Riggar of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly, Sunday evening. Eric was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and was happy to show his Steeler pride anytime. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Tiffany (Garvin) Riggar of 17 years. God has blessed them with four beautiful, amazing, smart, funny, playful children; Ryan Garvin (11), Dalan Gale (5), Davin Von (5), and Lily Kate (4). To his children he was a hands-on-dad; scout leader, baseball coach, and chief chef. Eric was a connoisseur of food, cooking, grocery stores, music, and movies.
Eric served in the Air Force for six years and ended his tour at Tinker Air Force Base before finding his professional home at Ordermatic Corporation. He was there 20-plus years and was an incredibly loyal employee who loved his career and his co-workers like family.
Some of Eric’s favorite moments were taking his family back to his hometown in Pennsylvania and spending time with his sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family; spending fun-filled weekends at Grand Lake with the family, cooking for everyone, and jamming to Riggar’s Ultimate Playlist.
Eric’s sudden passing will leave a deep void that will forever be filled by the memories we have of the honorable, loyal, loving husband, father, and man that he was. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Jeanne (Woods) Riggar, and his father, Elmer George Riggar, both of Fairchance, PA. Eric is survived by his wife Tiffany and their four children of Edmond, OK.; his four sisters, Elma and husband Joe Vaughan of Katy, TX.; Beverly and husband Bob Sorrentino of Reading, MA.; Paula and husband Randy Pringle of Fairchance, PA.; and Valerie and husband Raymond Eicher also of Fairchance, PA.; Gale and Carmel Garvin of Edmond, OK; Joe and Kim Weeks of OKC, OK; and 11 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.
A Wake will be held Thursday 7:00 p.m. at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, OK, 73034. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 900 S. Littler Ave., Edmond, OK, 73034.
In lieu of flowers, the Eric Riggar Memorial Fund has been established at Citizens Bank of Edmond, 32 North Broadway Edmond, OK 73034.
