

Grady L. Pennington was born March 12, 1930, to Lowell & Lillian Massey Pennington in Tishomingo, OK. He went to be with his Lord on July 28, 2011. Grady earned his degree in Journalism as well as a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Upon completion of his PhD, Grady served as Director of Admissions & Records at Oklahoma Baptist University. He then went on to take a teaching position at the University of Central Oklahoma before being named Vice President of Student Services. In 1975 Grady began his entrepreneurial career at Crutcho Lumber Co., which he owned and operated until 1988. Grady made his final career move to become the Oklahoma State Director for the Small Business Administration, recently retiring at the age of 80. In honor of his great accomplishments, the OSBDC building at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK, carries his name. Grady is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jane Pennington, three sons – Grady L. Pennington Jr., Jim Pennington, Phil Pennington; daughter Penny Brown; step-daughters Caroline Landwehr and Michelle Robison; their spouses and numerous grandchildren. Grady was preceded in death by his parents and youngest daughter, Reagan. Family viewing will be Monday, August 1st from 5-7pm at Baggerley Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
